An abuser put a knife in a pregnant woman’s private parts and threatened her with acid in an attempt to force her to get rid of her unborn baby, a court heard.
Rakim Braithwaite, 27, has been accused of saying he would stab the woman in the womb, stamp on her and throw acid on her during an 11-month campaign of abuse.
Isleworth Crown Court heard that he threatened the woman, who cannot be named for legal reasons, with violence if she didn’t contact abortion clinics.
He allegedly said he would stab her in the womb and ‘knock her out and stamp on her until she haemorrhaged’.
He’s also accused of convincing her that he would kill her, pretending to make phone calls to instigate an attack on her, in February last year.
Braithwaite also punched the woman in the face and ordered her to lie down, before inserting the tip of the knife inside her, the court heard.
On November 11 last year he is accused of threatening to knock out the woman and stamp on her until she haemorrhaged.
The next day he punched her, said he would kill her, and threatened to throw acid in her face, Prosecutor David Markham said.
