Blood was left spattered over London’s busy Oxford Street after a woman was hit by a bus.The victim is said to have suffered “life-changing” injuries in the horror accident near the Duke Street junction. It is thought she was crossing the road at the time.
A police cordon was in place for some time on Friday, with police closing the road between Selfridges and Oxford Circus.
A Metropolitan Police spokesman told the Daily Star that the woman is in her 50s and was taken to a central London hospital. The spokesman added: “There are road closures in place while the incident is being dealt with.”
In August, a man was rushed to hospital after being hit by a double-decker bus just yards down the street. That accident happened in front of crowds of shocked shoppers near Bond Street Tube station.
