A runaway bus has caused chaos after ploughing into traffic in a horror smash this afternoon – with one witness claiming a “young boy” was hit.The double decker sped through a junction before colliding with as many as five other buses and three cars. One witness said a young boy had been hit by the bus, while passengers in another bus and a blue Renault may have also been hurt.
Arran Watkins told the Express: “We heard a lot of big bangs and came out to see the damage. What we heard was the double decker hit a blue Renault, which had people in it. The car and the bus then both went forward and hit a young boy, and we think he’s been taken to hospital.
“There’s ambulances, first responders, the police unit and around 20 police officers. There’s also a big crowd of people still around watching:”
The terrifying incident occured in Renfield, Glasgow at around 4pm. Along with the male, three other people in the Renault are also thought to have been injured. An eye witness said the accident was ‘massive’, leaving cars ‘badly damaged.’ A huge number emergency service personnel have rushed to the scene
