A crazed pair launched a brutal attack against the boss of a charity.
French police are probing this morning’s attack at the Restos du Couer charity in Montreuil, east of Paris. The attackers were armed with an axe and knife and shouted “God is Greatest” in Arabic.
The victim, the director of the soup kitchen, has been taken to hospital after suffering stab wounds. The severity of his condition is unclear. Details of the attackers or their motives have not been released yet.
Paris has been beset by high-profile attacks claimed by Islamist militants over the 18 months. The country has been under a state of emergency since Islamic State gunmen and bombers killed 130 people in Paris last November.
