Leadenhall Market in London has been evacuated after a bomb scare. According to witnesses, a suspicious package is the cause of the alarm. Some witnesses claim to have seen a “bag billowing smoke,” which is sparking fears that it could be a bomb, similar to the one used in the Parsons Green terror attack.
Frightened shoppers fled as police told everyone to “get out”. The market is currently on lockdown. Twitter user Trevor said: “Just at Leadenhall Market police screaming at everyone to get out.”
UPDATE: The bag was investigated by police and found to be “non suspicious.” The market has now been re-opened.
