A poorly dancer who collapsed and DIED on stage was applauded by the audience – as they thought it was all part of the show. The 48-year-old man was performing a traditional lezginka dance when he fell ill.
The man, named as R Khusainov, was performing energetically at a Mother’s Day concert while singer Liza Akhmatova performed a Chechen song. But he suddenly lost his footing and fell – and Ms Akhmatova carried on singing and dancing around him, unaware what had actually happened.
The audience were laughing and whooping, but it quickly became clear that something was very wrong and other members of the cast came onto the stage to check on the dancer. Paramedics were called and arrived quickly at the venue but Mr Khusainov, who worked as a children’s dance teacher, was already dead.
