A family were left heartbroken when their “gorgeous” eight-year-old daughter died suddenly while on holiday with her grandparents in Italy.Little Connie Green, eight, collapsed at their hotel after suffering a suspected brain haemorrhage. Her parents Steven Green, 37, and Gemma Price, 33, raced to Italy where Connie was on a life-support machine.
But the couple made the heartbreaking decision to turn the ventilator of after being told she would never recover. The family has been told Connie had an underlying brain condition which had never been diagnosed.
IT manager Steve posted a simple but moving message on Facebook saying: “RIP My gorgeous Princess – I will miss you forever.”
Relatives said the couple and their older daughter Mia, 13, were “totally devastated” by the tragedy. A relative said: “Everyone is in a state of shock – Connie was a happy and healthy little girl who was always smiling.”
