The Duchess of Cambridge has made her first public appearance since the announcement she is pregnant with her third child. Kate has today appeared in a video message, which was recorded before her pregnancy was revealed two weeks ago today, to launch a national mental health campaign.
The 35-year-old has not been seen in public since the announcement as it emerged she was suffering from severe morning sickness which blighted her previous pregnancies. She was notably absent when her husband Prince William accompanied their son Prince George on his first day at school to Thomas’s, Battersea in South West London on Thursday, September 7.
Her message supports an initiative that aims to equip primary school children with the confidence to talk about their feelings or listen to friends when they need a sympathetic ear.
In the footage, Kate says about the animated film: “It helps us all talk about our mental health, what to say and who to talk to when we have feelings that are too big to manage on our own, and how to listen and help if one of our friends is finding things difficult.”
