Five-Year-Old Boy Rushed To Hospital After Cannabis Farm In Roof Bursts Into Flames

1fireeTwo children, including a five-year-old boy, are in hospital after a cannabis farm hidden in the roof of a family home sparked a fire . The blaze broke out in the roof of a terraced house in Swinton, Greater Manchester, in the early hours of this morning.

The youngster and a 15-year-old boy managed to escape from the building but had to be treated for smoke inhalation and taken to hospital. Police have confirmed this morning that a cannabis farm was discovered in the roof of the property.

A 34-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of cultivating cannabis, a spokesman for Greater Manchester Police said. The roof of the home was destroyed in the blaze and needed six fire engines on site.
