A woman claims her fifteen-year-old daughter was hit by a car while playing Pokemon Go. The accident occurred in Tarentum, in Pennsylvania, when the girl crossed a busy highway shortly after catching a Pokemon in the game.
Tracy Nolan, the girl’s mother, told a local news station that the game had lured her daughter across the highway during rush hour. “The Pokemon game took her across a major highway at 5 o’clock in the evening, which is rush hour,” Noland told WPZI-TV. “No game is worth a child’s life.”
The girl sustained collarbone and foot injuries, as well as numerous cuts and bruises. Nolan shared several photos with the news station of her daughter in a neck brace, with large scrapes across most of her face.Despite a score of accidents, Pokemon Go’s popularity has not waned; the game is the biggest mobile app in history and is currently dominating the top charts of both the Google Play and Apple App store.
