A lorry has ploughed through the central reservation on the M5 motorway. The incident happened at about 7.30am this morning, Wednesday, with the lorry travelling in the northbound carriageway between junction 14 for Thornbury and Falfield and junction 13 for Stroud.
One lane is closed in both directions and the incident is expected to cause delays for hours. Police are currently on the scene. The incident follows a horror crash M5 last weekend.
Yesterday Adrian Beaumont was named as the first of four victims who died when a Mercedes box van crossed the central reservation on Saturday, September 16. As people paid tribute to him , his partner, 42, remained in a critical condition while their children, a boy aged 12 and a girl aged 10, were reported to be stable.
