A beloved mum plummeted nearly 40 feet to her death from a zip wire at a Go Ape adventure park.Tina Werner, 59, fell from the ‘treetop’ attraction at yesterday while fulfilling a ‘bucket list’ challenge. She was rushed to a nearby hospital, but was tragically pronounced dead.
Yesterday afternoon, Tina’s grief-stricken daughter, Melissa, took to Facebook to pay tribute to her mum, describing her as ‘full of love and adventure’. Posting an image of her mum kissing her on the cheek at her wedding, the young woman wrote:
“Today, about 3 hours ago, I was told that my mother has died. Full of love and adventure, I am thankful to be her daughter. My mom died completing her bucket list, zip lining in Newark.” She added: “This is truly the hardest situation that I have ever faced. I ask for you prayers for my family.It is unclear whether Tina was accompanied by relatives or friends at the Go Ape Zip Line and Treetop Adventure attraction in Lums Pond State Park in Delaware, US, yesterday. She fell at least 35 feet from the zip wire after losing her footing on a platform at around 1.40pm local time. She was treated at the scene, before being rushed to hospital, where she was sadly pronounced dead a short time later. The site was immediately shut down after the tragedy and remained closed today.
