Piers Morgan sparks outrage with ‘appalling’ Ariana Grande tweets

Piers Morgan has been slammed by followers for criticising Ariana Grande days after the Manchester bombing.

Ariana, 23, flew back to the US following the attack, where her Florida family home has been visited by police.

However, Piers reckons that the popstar should have stayed in the UK, despite understandably being “broken” by the tragedy.

After Katy Perry tweeted about the Queen visiting victims of the blast in Manchester hospitals, the GMB host wrote: “Might have been nice if @ArianaGrande had stayed to do the same.”

Followers fired back in fury at the callous remark.

One person tweeted: “Even for you Piers, this is appalling. That poor girl will be going through hell knowing 22 of her fans/ their loved ones died. Disgusting.”

Another wrote: “Very low Piers, even for you”, with one person replying: “I agree with you most of the time but this is too much. She’s obviously struggling with this and you’re putting the boot in? Haway man.”

However, Piers didn’t back down.

When one person replied: “She’s probably traumatised herself you f***ing idiot”, the 52-year-old responded: “Probably not as much as those killed & wounded. She should have stayed to visit her injured fans.
