A police hunt is underway for a four-year-old boy who was taken from a house in Sheffield.Namvu Neuyen, who is also known as ‘William’, was playing at a property in Rock Street when a man arrived and took him away at around 10.30pm yesterday.
Police have identified the man as 43-year-old Ho Xuan Hung, ‘Tiger’, who is believed to be known to the child. After taking the child, both Namvu and Ho walked towards Christchurch Road and have not been seen since. Both the child and adult are of Vietnamese origin. It is not yet known what they were wearing.
Speaking to ITV, temp DCI Steve Ashmore, who is leading the investigation, said: ‘It’s of paramount importance that we find Namvu. He belongs with his mum and we must return him to her care as soon as possible.
‘We know that Ho has links to the Doncaster and Chesterfield areas so it’s important our appeal is shared there also. I would strongly urge Ho to take Namvu to a place of safety so he can be returned to his mother.’
