Paramedics responded to the scene. The Los Angeles Auto Show was taking place at the Convention Center near the crash. A photo released by LAFD shows the impacted vehicle with a sticker on the driver door, which reads, “Drive today! At the auto show.”
Officials described five of the victims to be in “moderate distress,” KABC reported. According to one source, a person test driving a Fiat ran over people standing in line to test drive Mazda cars at the Los Angeles Auto Show.
Paramedics attended to eight adults, before six of them were taken to local hospitals. Those hospitalised included five pedestrians and the driver, who initially declined medical attention.
