A six-year-old girl has died after being found unconscious at a house on the Isle of Wight, where a 44-year-old man was also found dead.Officers were called to an address at Cromwell Avenue in East Cowes shortly after 10am on Wednesday, according to Hampshire police. The girl was taken to St Mary’s Hospital where she died a short time later.
A police spokeswoman said: “On arrival officers found the body of a 44-year-old man. A six-year-old girl was found unconscious and was taken to St Mary’s Hospital. She died a short time later. The bodies of two dogs were also found within the address.”
Formal identification of the dead girl and man is ongoing and specialist officers are supporting the family. Police officers are expected to continue this investigation at the scene today.
