A teacher has been sacked for “grabbing and pushing” a 15-year-old schoolgirl because she was “wearing too much make-up”. Nisha Roslin, of Grimsby, says she was grabbed by the shoulders and pushed back by a teacher who told her that her make-up was “too dramatic” during an assembly on Tuesday afternoon.
The teenager’s mum claims her daughter was suffering from shock after she was shouted at and grabbed with force by both hands at the Havelock Academy in Grimsby. The school has confirmed that the female teacher has been dismissed following the incident and has apologised to the family, the Grimsby Telegraph reports.
Nisha’s mother, Tammyann Watson, 43, confirmed that her daughter fills in her eyebrows, but said in her opinion, her makeup was not excessive on Tuesday. She added: “It was during a school assembly when a teacher, who I believe has only arrived at the school recently, shouted at Nisha because of her make-up. The teacher then grabbed her by the shoulder, and when she walked away to go to her own tutor, the teacher in question grabbed her with force with both hands and pushed her back.”
